The launch of this new billboard will provide a cost-effective avenue for digital outdoor advertising in Geelong, which has historically been out of reach for many local businesses.

The process of site development is complex, and the road to launching this new electronic billboard in Geelong was no exception. Solving a few challenges along the way, the billboard went live on December 5.

With prices starting from just $400 per week, this stand-out site can be seen in the centre of Geelong, located next to to Westfield and Market Square at the traffic lights.

With its location at 55 Yarra Street, this billboard will capture Northbound and Eastbound traffic within the CBD and reach 117,600 cars, every four weeks.

“It has taken us almost two years to get this one approved, so it is very satisfying to see it up with so many clients from day one,” Gawk Outdoor director James Course said.

The billboard has been in high demand even before its launch, with 80 percent of slots already pre-booked for its first month live.

Running 10 advertisers each week on an even 30-second rotation, this site exposes several local brands to a range of audiences travelling through Geelong’s CBD.

With its prime location in the heart of Geelong’s bustling retail precinct, it’s no surprise that the businesses of Geelong are taking advantage of this new digital advertising platform in town that won’t break the bank.

Some of the brands that have snatched up this new billboard from its first week live include local businesses Market Square, Better Beer, Melbourne Renegades, Someone New Theatre, St Joseph’s College, and Sacred Heart College.

“We are really pumped to expand our coverage in Geelong,” Mr Course said.

“This new digital in the heart of town will complement our Torquay digital well. You might even see a couple of other new Gawk sites in Geelong in 2023.”
