The manual features several enhancements including improved site planning for advertisements and elevated traffic safety standards
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) released a revised edition of the Dubai Out-Of-Home (OOH) Advertising Manual on Thursday to streamline government systems and procedures and ensure alignment with the Dubai Urban Plan 2040 objectives.
The updated OOH advertising manual, which was issued in collaboration with Dubai Municipality and Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, details the types of images, measurements, lighting, dimensions, locations, and more for outdoor advertising.
RTA said the manual fosters an environment that encourages companies and investors to boost their advertising expenditure and compete in promoting their products and services.
The manual features several enhancements, such as improved site planning for advertisements, elevated traffic safety standards, updated spacing criteria between billboards and intersections, standardised design elements and the introduction of pilot areas.
It offers enhanced guidelines for advertisers to explore their creative potential using new advertising media, such as 3D ads, drones, modern lighting, and laser technology.
RTA said the OOH advertising manual includes a variety of geometric and artistic forms to support advertisers in the creative and innovative application process while streamlining the work of inspectors in monitoring companies’ compliance with advertising regulations in Dubai.
The advertising manual includes all types of OOH advertisements, grouped by type of ad, location, and information delivery format.
