PodPod and Campaign launch Audio Advertising Awards

PodPod has launched a new Audio Advertising Awards programme, in partnership with sister brand Campaign, to celebrate creative and commercial achievement in the field.

The new awards scheme will honour the most exceptional audio campaigns and recognise the efforts of advertisers, agencies, media owners and creators who have effectively harnessed the power of sound to captivate audiences and deliver impactful messages.

By highlighting exemplary work in audio advertising across radio, streaming, podcasting and more, the awards aim to inspire the industry to push boundaries, experiment and set new standards for excellence.

A panel of industry leaders and experts will judge the awards, which cover more than 25 categories across advertising, sponsorship, branded content, podcast host-reads and sonic branding. The awards will also recognise innovation, effectiveness, strategy, and people and teams.

The deadline for entries for the Audio Advertising Awards is the end of October, and the winners will be announced at a ceremony in early 2024. The awards mark the latest collaboration between PodPod and Campaign, following co-branded events such as the Radio and Audio Advertising Summit in January and the Podcast Show in May.

"This is a brilliant time for Campaign and PodPod to launch the Audio Advertising Awards,” said Gideon Spanier, UK editor-in-chief of Campaign and editorial director of PodPod. “Audio has a proud history as one of the most engaging and trusted media channels, but it has also become one of the most innovative and creative ways for brands to communicate and drive growth in the era of streaming, podcasting and on-demand listening.”

“We are excited to see the range of work that advertisers and their creative and media partners will enter."
