Samsung Ads launches Product Carousel

Samsung Ads, the advanced advertising division of Samsung Electronics, has announced the expansion of its interactive advertising suite, Creative Canvas, with the launch of Product Carousel — a new format designed to help brands showcase multiple products, features, or offers within a single, immersive CTV ad experience. The first TV OEM to engineer an advertising product of this kind, Samsung has partnered with Choice Hotels International on an advertising campaign to begin later this month.

Product Carousel will be available to all advertisers this spring. The feature gives advertisers a new way to tell stories and drive deeper engagement on the largest screen in the home. Using their TV remote, viewers with Samsung TV model years 2020 and newer can navigate through multiple panels within a single interactive ad — exploring product features and options like vehicle trims, menu items, and travel destinations without disrupting their streaming content.

“As advertisers across retail, travel, QSR, and entertainment look for seamless, data-safe, and cost-effective ways to drive meaningful engagement, we saw an opportunity to transform what interactive TV can deliver,” said Kelsey Price, Managing Director, Commercialisation at Samsung Ads. “With Product Carousel, we’re giving brands the flexibility to bring their full product story to life in an intuitive, seamless way — while preserving the premium, lean-back experience viewers expect.”

Available on Samsung TV Plus inventory, Product Carousel delivers scale across the Samsung footprint of more than 50 million addressable smart TVs in the US, providing advertisers with premium reach and measurable engagement opportunities. For viewers, the experience is simple and frictionless. Using a standard remote control, audiences can scroll left or right to explore an advertiser’s products or features within the ad break. The format eliminates the need for a second device while offering more depth and variety than a traditional single-message spot.

It gives viewers the opportunity to explore multiple destinations and offers in an engaging way, all without disrupting their viewing experience.”

Product Carousel joins existing Creative Canvas capabilities, including Click-To-Email ads and vertical video formats, with additional features continuing to roll out as part of Samsung Ads’ expanding interactive roadmap.
